At Rainier Center, we offer lower rates than our competitors to ensure you’re not overpaying for treatment. We understand that therapists often do not work In-Network with insurance. That's why we're here to help you leverage your Out-of-Network benefits. With our in-house billing, we handle all the billing and claims submissions on your behalf. You only pay what you owe and don't have to wait for reimbursement from insurance. If you haven't met your deductible, we also submit claims on your behalf to help you chip away at it, so you can start benefiting from your Out-of-Network benefits quicker.

Our mission is high-quality and affordable mental health care.
We are in-network with Cigna AND NYSHIP and accept most insurance providers, both in-network and out-of-network plans. We will explain your session cost and out-of-network coverage, if applicable, during your phone call before setting up an appointment. Our goal is to make this process as easy as possible for you.

Using your out‑of‑network benefits often gives you more flexibility, more privacy, and more control over your mental health care. Many clients prefer out‑of‑network therapy because it allows them to choose a therapist who truly fits their needs rather than being limited to a small insurance panel. Out‑of‑network benefits can also reduce barriers to care, offer higher reimbursement than people expect, and help you access specialized support that may not be available in‑network.
With out‑of‑network coverage, you can work with a therapist based on expertise, approach, and personal fit — not just who happens to be on an insurance list. For many people, this leads to better outcomes and a more meaningful therapeutic experience.

To consider your therapist’s schedule and time, we require 48-hour advance notice of cancellation.
However, we know that unexpected things can happen at the last minute, so if you do not show up for your scheduled appointment or you have not notified us 48 hours in advance, we will try to reschedule your appointment within the week of your appointment. If we are unable to reschedule, you will be responsible for the full fee for the missed session.

Your first session is a chance for you and your therapist to get to know each other. You’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and what you hope to change or understand. There’s no pressure to share everything at once. We move at your pace.
