Hi, I’m Emily!
My Approach to Therapy:
My goal as a therapist is to create a warm, compassionate, and supportive space where you feel comfortable expressing yourself and exploring life’s challenges. Believing that every client is unique, I tailor treatment to your individual needs rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. I help clients build self-acceptance, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop effective coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. My priority is to ensure you feel supported, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
What Sets Me Apart:
I am constantly learning and improving as a therapist. I believe you are the expert in your life, and I take pride knowing I can learn a lot from my clients. I am aware I am a white woman so learning about my client’s views and cultures is a priority. I have a background in women, gender and sexuality studies that can enhance my approach to therapy. I am passionate about increasing awareness for mental health and an advocate for getting mental health care for everyone.
What I Like to Do On My Free Time:
I enjoy spending time in nature hiking. I also enjoy yoga, meditation and reading. I try to pay attention to what benefits my mind and body while also having fun.
